Types of Care Offered
- Specialised Nursing Care: Our registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, providing expert clinical care, medication management, and support for a wide range of physical disabilities. We are experienced in dealing with severe disabilities including, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.
- Personal Care: Our caring support staff assists residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and feeding, always with dignity and respect.
- Mobility Support: We provide assistance and support with mobility, ensuring residents can move safely and comfortably within the home and access our facilities. We utilise appropriate aids and equipment to maximise independence.
- Medication Management: Residents can manage their own medication or receive help from the nursing team.
- Nutritional Support: Our dedicated catering team provides nutritious and delicious meals, catering to individual dietary requirements and preferences. We can accommodate specific needs such as pureed diets or thickened fluids.
- Emotional and Social Support: We recognise the importance of emotional well-being and provide a supportive and friendly environment. Our team is always available to offer companionship and emotional support.
- Liaison with Healthcare Professionals: We work closely with GPs, specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
- Therapeutic Treatment: Physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, sensory room, and functional activity programs available at The Marian Centre.
